The Reading Hour Magazine

Today's city dweller is always rushed for time. Amidst the pressures of work, study, family, and so on, setting aside reading-time is a fast disappearing luxury. Yet, reading is one of the most tranquil but stimulating activities.

Introducing Reading Hour, a quality magazine of short reads - fiction, verse, real life, general interest articles, interviews and reviews. It is a bi-monthly print publication for circulation in India.

A while ago, we realised that it isn't easy to find a short fiction English magazine on our bookshelves and news-stands. There are several such magazines in regional languages, whose content is denied to many of us who have (for various reasons) become 'single language' people, the language being English. Thus, the idea of Reading Hour was born.

We have mainly Indian writers telling Indian stories, across a variety of genres so that the magazine is both entertaining and informative. We publish translations from regional languages, as well as of non-Indian languages.

We hope this magazine will bring out closet writers and become a platform for new talent as well as encourage the reading habit among those who find novels a challenge on their time!

Reading Hour is published and promoted by Differsense Ventures LLP, which is in the business of developing, publishing and promoting through print and various other media, informative, educational or general interest material.
